chickee oh from Gold Country! I gave my hubby a trip to your neck of the woods for Christmas. Obscure yes...but we will get away from the human babies for overnight and I can scope out some old buildings. The coop is going to look like an old wild west general store. I need inspiration!

I never could keep mine as warm as the recommendations. I had a big L shaped brooder with the heat at one end. They would be all over the brooder during the day, but slept away from the heat at night. They spread out more when I kept the brooder 5-10 degrees cooler than recommended, and I started with the lower end of the recommentations. Personally, I think pasty butt is related to being too warm. JMO.
