Yeah...this just ticks me off! The gov't needs to get back to the job of keeping the country safe and keep its money-hungry hands off its citizens. Fining a guy for processing a few personal birds. Sick and wrong!

Well you can hire him for the day to YOUR place, that way they can not hold him responsible for the processing. YOu can gather up all the folks in nearby area and have a one day processing time!

I agree, those big companies are taking the $ off from the backyard processors!

I have heard about a guy in another state that had this same problem with processing so he loads up all his equipment on his truck, goes to your property to do it. He is your friend and ya'll are just having a good time together. Seems no one is breaking any laws that way. He does it on his truck at your place and no one even sees any money switching hands. Sounds like a good idea to me. He might have more expenses, but he might have less. I often go to my friend's houses and show them how to dress their birds. Wonder if I'm breaking any laws.

I have been known to be a radical rule breaker, especially at school when I mention the "G" word, you know God!

I guess it's a good thing I live in TN. We aren't known to have very many stupid laws and we are pretty much still out here in the sticks. I can feel your frustration, that would really crawl under my skin, too. Contact those legislators and let them know you vote.

Wow. I was just looking into having someone process them for me and I live in New York..................wow, but like Ewesheep said, maybe you can have a processing party and invite him down and get a whole bunch of people together..............................How sad........................
