Well we are now at 9-16 weeks with most of our flock.

Phew! I see far less boys here then! Hah how old are these birds?
LavOrp is 16 weeks
The Wyandottes ( I think they are) (blue laced and black red laced are both 16 weeks.
The EE's (Have 3, 2 bearded and muffed, 1 clean) are 15 weeks.
The White Cochin is 15 weeks.
I have 2 JG and a Barnvelder.
They make up half of the flock.

I have one more that I can't identify and I will send a pic of her tomorrow. She came with Maggie May and a few others in the rare breeds.
I have 2 Brahma hens that are 1 1/2 yr olds and a Blue Rock the same age that I raised last year with a few others. We had a hawk problem and only had those 3 left this year.
Thank you so much for the contact. I'm learning so much from all of you.
What a great bunch of knowledge is on here!

So ironic that you mentioned the squatting being a precursor to laying
I found our first pullet egg from one of the E.E.'s this morning. Yeah!

I absolutely love these girls!
The two Roo's too.... :love
Many in the flock are twitching their heads so I'm going to make a spray of garlic, water and essential oils and spray them down.
Does it help to spray nesting boxes as well if using a bit of dish liquid in oil and water?
