If you let them out to fly free, don't you worry they won't come back? These 2 I have aren't that tame yet. I must say, they're pretty fun to watch fly around your living room, too.

They may fly away, but odds are they'll come back because they know that you provide food and water.

Cute bird! The breed is called Oriental Frill. This one is the old style of Oriental Frill that has retained the longer beak needed for feeding their own young. Modern style Oriental Frills have been "improved" and the beak is almost gone, so they need foster parents with longer beaks to feed the babies. The color variety of your bird, if put into a show, would be Satinette. Which means a white bird with colored wings and tail. Anyway, I breed Satinettes in blue and ash-red. If you need a mate for that one in the future I can help you out

The husband was in the loft and didn't pay very good attention to the door and he got out. Crushed my husband. He never came back. Being as we live in the country and have just two neighbors... there is no finding him at this point.
I got him two new pigeons but they are this pretty breed.

Looks like a mix. Could have some Old German Owl in it. Looks more like an Old Classic Frill. Satinette is a color patern, not a breed.
