You have some really nice birds.Nebraskagirl, it looks in the picture as if your drake has a green head, which would make him a silver. The gold drakes have more of a brown color on their heads. Here are pictures of two of my drakes, one a silver and one a gold. The first one is the gold - you can see that his head is a darker color.

This second picture is one of my silver drakes. He was fussing at somebody, which is why he is standing up so straight. The silvers have heads that are a beautiful dark bottle green.

That's great to hear! I was so excited to get my first egg I took a picture of it and emailed it to all my family and friends. I know they think I'm nuts!! My brother's 10-yr-old triplets thought it was cool, though.My Welsh girl laid her first ever egg yesterday
I am so excited. She has been building a nest inside her duck box she shares with our drake. It is just the two of them. I am hoping for some babies in the future!![]()
