They are so cute!

What are the more plain brown ducks, like the one in front on the bottom picture?

They are Metzer's hybrid ducks, the Golden 300. The egg laying ducks!

Mine are two months old now and the pool and their pen looks like a pillow fight just happened. Is this normal for WH?
My mallards never did this..........

BTW, apologies to Metzer farms....the one in the middle is a female. A couple weeks ago I thought foe sure a male.

I have a pair (supposedly M & F if you go by hatch day bill color) that hatched on the 21st in SE TN if anybody would like a start in this breed. Gosh the babies are so cute. I already have some older ones in the grow-out so I don't have the room.

When my WH molt, it does look like a pillow fight. There were so many feathers in the pen this morning I did a head count to make sure nobody got eaten!

Hi I am new to welsh harlequins. I was wondering when they start to lay? My drake hatched April 15th and my female hatched out on the 24th of April. Will she lay eggs this year or will I have to wait until next spring?

Here's a picture of mine taken last week. The WH in the middle is my male. The ones on either side are females. (and their Pekin buddy behind!) The WH hatched May 3, 2011.

This was taken about a month ago of my male. His bill is much more yellow now.

These two are just about 12 weeks old, their colouring is so different. Any guesses as to gender? Thanks!

They were supposed to be WH? Are they not? I've never had them before so...... And yes, I have 3 Cayuga butts too!
