Welsumer. Hen or roo, help :)

In case anyone wanted to se more, I will have to get rid of all the beautiful roosters, my first Bach. And I spoke to the breeder and he says welsumer do lay white eggs because it’s a mix race. Can that be true?

Wow 5 cockerels and one pullet in these pictures, that's a real bummer. Welsummers are not a mix, they could be part Welsummer but they're not true Welsummers for sure.

One of the biggest indicators is the comb and wattle development. The other tell is the feather coloring. Their feather pattern is partridge based and it looks different depending on the gender. The males are a darker red/gold with uneven wing and pattern and black breast feathers starting to develop. The females colors are a bit duller and her feather pattern is a lot more even looking.

Welsummers are a pure breed and will only lay brown eggs. Sounds like his birds are a mixed breed, potentially with Welsummers, and as long as you weren't wanting to show it's not a bad thing. But I would not buy from this "breeder" again.

They have now started fighting a lot so I will have to get rid of the overflow of roos but one last question should I keep this one. Is there any chance it’s a girl ?

Unfortunately your babies have male specific coloring, so comb development aside they are boys
