Another question. Someone brought up to me that they think it might not be a Welsummer? I will be the first to admit, that I had some doubts as to it being pure Welsumer, but I am far from an expert in Wellies. Thoughts???

My welsummer... Single comb... Ur chick has a rose comb.

The type of comb is suspicious to me. I have two Welsummers, 4 weeks old. They're both supposed to be pullets, but I'm fairly certain one is a roo.
Both of my chicks have a single comb. The rooster has a more even looking color to his feathers than yours does, but I see lots of other similarities in the coloring. Maybe yours is a Welsummer cross?

I only have the one and she's pullet. She now 6 weeks old... Urs has wattles already, prolly Roo.

I also have a Golden-laced Wyandotte that I got from the same breeder. Do you think this is a possible Welsummer/GL Wyandott cross? Although, that would not explain the rose comb, would it?

I was thinking the same thing! I'm so new to raising, but it would make sense!

Looks like a partridge color to me, not gold laced, but could be wrong. Definitely NOT Welsummer.
