I hatched out another set of MotherGoose's eggs for a friend DH works with. She fell in love with them! Sadly, her coop was attacked early spring and she only has one hen & 1 roo left. So I have 5 eggs in the bator to try and replenish her flock (she's improved the coop's defenses).

I didn't see this about the Easter chicks, or I might've talked to Cindy about a road trip!

The little guys are doing well so far.

It looks like probably 5 pullets an 3 cockerels, but no certainty yet. If so, that'll even out my Whitmore bunch -- 4 cockerels and 3 pullets.

So good to hear from you! My wife and I could not remember your screen name and we had cleared our messages. We wanted to let you know how wonderful Rusty and the girls were doing. They have been great!! Glad you stumbled onto the thread - we will write your name down so we don't loose it again.!!

Glad to hear they are doing well. 5/3 is pretty good although I had hoped you would get 7/1 !! lol!

As they start to lay we need to talk about getting some eggs from your whitmore group. How long did you say it would be??

Thanks again!

Hey again --

The Whitmore kids hatched 3/6, so it'll be awhile yet! I've also got three older hens who are laying consistently right now -- but they're not breeding quality. Nice girls, but not as good as we can do!

I'm glad or the update. It's nice to see how well he's doing and know your family is so happy with him & the girls. Parting with them has been one of the hardest things I've ever done!

I adore my prize-winning Mille Fleur d'Uccles, but those Wellies were every bit as purdy, and would've won prizes too!

No guarantees of nuthin! But since Patrick lives so close to me, relatively speaking, I was talking to him about swapping some genetic material -- so to speak.
