Welsummer eggs color

Was going to ask if you knew......the feathers on legs is very odd.
If you are convinced the brown eggs are from her, I'd go to Ideal's website and see if you can find a brown egg layer with feathered feet that looks like her.
Or better yet, call Ideal.
I’m sure it’s her. I just posted some pics of her feet. I did go to Ideal’s website and in their description of the Welsummer they lay dark brown eggs. Mystery solved. That’s what theirs lay. I should have done this to begin with. Today was the first time I have 8 out 8 eggs and she laid her egg in the box

Those feathers are just a glitch...there's word for it but I CRS.

:lau I suffer of that as well. I don’t want to waste people’s time anymore with this. I think that the mystery is solved. Ideal’s Welsummer lays dark brown eggs and they’re not very true to the breed. She’s nice and healthy and that’s ok with me. :)
 
I'm just really curious what she is.....that dark cape must be a breed characteristic.
Makes me think of a Barnvelder.
