I would think it's pretty odd to get a mixed breed from a farm store if they get their chicks from a hatchery.

They order from Ideal. As you know I’m far from being an expert but she’s probably like you said a low quality Wellie.I would think it's pretty odd to get a mixed breed from a farm store if they get their chicks from a hatchery.
Was going to ask if you knew......the feathers on legs is very odd. They order from Ideal.
Very short fuzz like feathers spread out. I’ll try to take a pic of her feet. Was going to ask if you knew......the feathers on legs is very odd.

I’m sure it’s her. I just posted some pics of her feet. I did go to Ideal’s website and in their description of the Welsummer they lay dark brown eggs. Mystery solved. That’s what theirs lay. I should have done this to begin with. Today was the first time I have 8 out 8 eggs and she laid her egg in the boxIf you are convinced the brown eggs are from her, I'd go to Ideal's website and see if you can find a brown egg layer with feathered feet that looks like her.
Or better yet, call Ideal.
Those feathers are just a glitch...there's word for it but I CRS.
Start a new thread here.....someone may know what she is.

Ok then I’ll start a new thread. Let’s see what happens.I'm just really curious what she is.....that dark cape must be a breed characteristic.
Makes me think of a Barnvelder.
