I had a Lavender Orpington hen who had a large comb as a chick and was bigger than my roo chicks. I thought for sure she was a Rooster. So there is hope but having said that I'm leaning more for Roo. Why can't you have a Rooster? Is it because you are city limits.? I have 4 Roos in my flock and would not give them up for nothing.
