Welsummer hens or too?

I bought 2 welsummer pullets, but at 4 weeks one has a bigger comb then the other. They looked pretty much the same as day old chicks up until the comb growth. Is that normal pulley development in Welsummers? In the group pic they are in very front and very back.

That's a pullet. Males will have black breast feathers.
I’m happy they are both girls. Do you know anything about their brown/red feather coloring? One seems to have a richer reddish brown with little pattern, is larger and has a bigger comb. The other is more of a plain brown with more pattern. Does that make any difference in egg color that they will eventually lay? I bought one for myself and one for a friend and I get to chose which to keep.

No, feather color makes no difference with egg color.
