Actually false. Easter Eggers are what the Ameraucana and Araucana breeds were bred from. Prior to the 1970s, there was no Araucana or Ameraucana breed standard. They were all called Araucana, but most where what is considered Easter Eggers today.Easter eggers would traditionally be two Ameraucana that bred and don't fit the standard, usually bearded with cheeks.
Please no Debates....I figured by putting that in there it would cause some kind of uprising.... I guess I meant that was my "traditional understanding".![]()
Also, I think the blue egg could come from crosses like the cream legbar.![]()
