Kandoos, if you have four birds that look like these, I regret to inform you that you do NOT have Welsummers.

Marko, I am guessing that you are not referring to the bearded bird with the white hackle but only the other darker male? That being the case, I would say you have "some" sort of Barnevelder there. Both the male and female have Barnevelder characteristics. Having said that, they are poor quality at the very least.

Same goes with the two bottom pics of the Welsummers. The one with the Walnut Comb is completely out of type. The bottom one is a little better at type but has a poor comb and very poor coloration.

Now, please understand, I'm not trying to be a jerk with the above. You asked specifically about particular breeds. If you're happy with them, great. Enjoy them. Just be aware they are not representative of the breeds and I would strongly recommend not breeding them or trying to sell any offspring from them as either breed.

Would you please tell us all how you came to get these birds? Did you buy them from a hatchery or some other person?

God Bless,

None taken, I want to see how they come along as they Have been brutally fighting as there are to many roo's(which i will be fixing today!) They are all about 12 weeks old so color wise i know it is hard as they are still "coming in" but alot of feathers are lets just say ...>Missing lol...Here is a hen from the barnies . Note again feather pull issue cuz of roo's being almost = to hen number..As for breeder they come from Performance poultry and i am happy to most what i got i think just some you never know when you buy bigger lots...
