This is a male Welsummer. The one on the left is a cockerel. The other is a pullet
It's okay.I’m really disappointed in myself I got to say.
Don't be. It takes time to learn this stuff, and no one gets it right all the time.I’m really disappointed in myself I got to say.
Don’t be! That’s the entire reason I asked because the comb/wattles on the one look exactly like my 3 other roos, though back around 7 weeks. Seems so odd to have two pullets with such different coloring on their comb but I guess the other is just developing a little laterI’m really disappointed in myself I got to say.
Both are pullets. My 2 cents late in the day.Almost 12 weeks now and I was thoroughly convinced they were both pullets until the last few days. Both have copper chest feathers and truly they look identical except that one now has a much more red and pronounced comb and has wattles showing up. Not close enough to laying time for that change I would think, but again first time chicken owner here. Thoughts?
No need to!I’m really disappointed in myself I got to say.
