Now back to the original post before it got hijacked...
Here's the welsummer pullet I swapped with the other chick. 6.5 weeks and it's comb is smaller than the other one at 4 weeks. Plus light chest feathers with no black.
Oh wow she's so pretty!!! One of mine looks almost exact snake colorso glad. Is the tip of her head got that same light golden salmon too? Mine does and I think it's a welsummer. Ours has a tiny tiny tiny bit of black but no comb developement much, and not enough black to be a male. Just curious is the head is the same color.
One of our pullets look just like that in the chest and head. Ours does have some little white tips at the end of her wings, but I don't think it means she's not a welsummer as she looks so much like yours. That is so helpful!!! Thanks so much for the pick.![]()
Yes plus beautiful gold in her neck.
Wish I could have kept the rooster. They look beautiful when they are full grown.
Brahmas are painfully slow to develop. 6.5 weeks is much too young to be certain of gender.
So pretty! I've never owned the breed so I have I have no idea what they look like as pullets or Roos. I know some can get big. I've seen some around. Pretty birds though.![]()
