We ordered some whiting true greens and welsummers and made the mistake of not having them marked by the hatchery. They basically all look the same and we need to try and figure out who is who. Are there any distinguishing features we could look for? They are 4 weeks old now.

Are there any distinguishing features we could look for?
--you could post pictures

--it may become clear when they grow up

--Welsummers should be pretty predictable: chicks striped like chipmunks, yellow legs, single comb, no muff/beard, specific feather color/pattern as they mature.

--Anything that is WRONG for a Welsummer is probably one of the Whiting True Greens. There could be some that look exactly like Welsummers but aren't, but at least you might identify some of them.

I will get some pictures up shortly. The true greens are also chipmunks with yellow legs so thats our problem. We either have 3 true greens and 1 welsummer, or 2 true greens and 2 welsummers. One passed in the first day and we dont know which it was.

We were thinking this was a welsummer.
