Welsummer

I either have two welsummers or two cucko marans. I bought a barn yard special of eggs, so am not really sure what I have. When can you tell by their physical appearance if they are male or female? At what age. They were born July 23, so they are just about a month old.

Can you post pictures?
The roosters will get big combs early.
And when the chest feathers start coming in the welsummer pullets
will be lighter feathers the welsummer roosters will be black.
There's a world of difference in welsummers and cuckoo marans.
Cuckoo marans are a barred color, welsummers are partridge color.

good luck with your welsummers. My mom has 4 pullets that just started laying two weeks ago @ 22 weeks and is in love with them.
