Welsummers...what is the best lines and who has the darkest eggs?

Just wondering as I am thinking of getting a few more.

I would do a Search through the Buy, Sell, Trade section and look for those with the prettiest birds and the darkest eggs!

I have some gorgeous Welsummers who lay some of the darkest wellie eggs I have seen. Here are the picks that I have of the eggs and parents.

I get $35 a dozen, but right now the girls are taking the summer off. We will start shipping eggs again in the fall. I currently have an order list and I have 3 on that list so far. If you would like to get on the Fall list, just let me know.

I got some off Egg bid that were as dark as alot of marans eggs I have gotten. Also got some off E-bay from a lady here in Utah and the eggs were very dark. I think they said their stock was from calico farms if I remeber right and the egg bid person said theirs came from the grishem line.

I cannot remember it's been about 2 and half months since I got the eggs.

Join the Welsummer Club in Yahoo section and you will find some breeders in there.

We are also working on the format for members in the Welsummer Club of North America, and the numbers of members are growing daily once the word got out to be included in the list.
