I went into lockdown last night too! Estimated hatch on Wednesday. This is my very first time hatching eggs!! I can't concentrate on anything else right now! I'm having baby chick dreams every night too!!

It's a long time til Wednesday!

Question: On some other threads, people mentioned chicks sitting on the thermometer. All along I've rested the thermy on top of the eggs, but knowing they will hatch and knock it off and then sit on it- I thought I'd tape it to the window [in the ceiling of the bator] I'm using a styrofoam hovabator. So, being up high like that, can I expect the temps. to be a little higher, like 101- 102 ? I would think the humidity wouldn't be as affected.

Lock down is the final 3 days of hatch when you take eggs off turner And LOCK DOWN INCUBATOR !! no opening till all have hatched

high sixites or seventies, right?

tomorrow night
