went to start lockdown, 1 hatch and 1 pip!!!!??!!! 3 days early?

went to the bator to remove eggs from auto turner to start lockdown to night, Saturday is Day 21 and 1 egg has hatched already, just sitting in the shell, another pipping!

40 more to go, do you think they will all be early hatchers?

10 are barnyard Mix and 32 are Black Australorps

the 2 hatching so far are the BA's

I've had something close to that happen to me. It means the incubator is running hotter than it should be. If you can, you might try adjusting the thermostat cooler by about half a degree for your next hatch.

Yeah, I'd expect all of them to be early hatchers. I once saw a University of Virginia paper that said genetics plays a part in them hatching early or late, so some might be a little slower than the others, but with some this early, I'd expect them all to be early. A warm incubator will cause them to be that early, not genetics.
