These were in the red pullet bin. I only got 2...I have 10 already that are 3 weeks old so that will give me an even dozen! They are SO CUTE! I even gave myself a pep talk before going in the store...told myself....."don't go by the chick bins, DON'T go by the chick bins"

So cute! I had a hard time resisting the temptation last time I was at TSC, but we have 8 coming in a few weeks. I loved getting to hold some though and it made me more excited for mine!

Unforetunately mine does. I made the mistake of walking by and there was 2 adorable buff silkie chicks. Immediately I though oh cool Cinnimon can have some more girl friends when they grow up as I only have 5 silkies and 3 are boys.
So I picked up the box to place the chicks in and noticed the sign. hmmm,, no problem my friend has a bantam rooster that could use some bantam girl friends so if the ones I pick are all girls.....in goes 2 red or buff cochin bantams along with 2 black cochin bantam chicks.

I get home and place them in the brooder. Awe they are so precious, surely my friend can find her boy some other girls.

Today I took some scrambled egg smeared with plain yogurt and sprinkled with chick feed to them. Oh they loved it. One of the red/buff cochin girls loved it so much she took an egg bath in it. Wish I had my camera out as I missed a really funny picture moment.

how did you only get 2? our TSC will only let you buy 6 or more. we would live to have 2 more, but not 6.

I'd bet that you could explain to a manager that you have other chicks at home and pick up just a couple in spite of the minimum. They're just trying to keep people from buying one or two for the amusement of playing with a chick and then letting it die because they have no clue about caring for them.

They are cute! I am hatching some later this week hopefully. Can't wait to see them.

I am almost glad we do not have a TSC here.....danger...danger! Would like a place with their good prices though.
