We're at 24 weeks and no eggs?

Aart--Thank You! I'm going to have to change my coop design because my nesting boxes are about the same height as my roost. That's what I get for assuming the guy that built my coop knew what he was doing! Lol. Thank you for the great advice!
I prefer un-attached individual nests that rest on the floor, especially if I intend to let my hens hatch their own eggs. This way I can move the entire nest to a quite pen or coop without disturbing the setting hen. The reason for high nests is to make it easier on you to gather the eggs, not to encourage hens to lay in penthouse nests.
 
The normal time young chickens begin laying for the first time is around 6 months.
When we bought our 3 young girls, they were laying the day we got them.
It is just the matter of time.
Just wait a little longer and then you'll get good fresh eggs!
