We're finally getting a new barn!!

Mahonri... Upstairs is going to be storage... we may actually be able to park in our garage for the first time in years!!

Of course they have to come finish the barn first.. I finally heard back from them tonight and they are still waiting on the insulation.. The crew went to Mackay to work on a job there so odds are that they won't be back here till after Christmas..

I have got to remember to put a penalty in the contract for the next thing we build if it isn't finished when promised... This is past ridiculous!! It is going to be sooooo wonderful when we finally get it finished though!!!

I understand those lying promises all too well. We built two homes, it was the worst. The first was tiny, promised in 5 months, got it in 11. I agree, that time limit in the contract is key. Our barn took 3 times longer than promised, those guys would not work past 3 or 4 pm and never got here before 9 or 10! I NEVER seen them on a Friday and often not on a Monday. Your barn looks great, your setting is stunning, I have pole barn envy.

Looking Nice. I know how you feel on the Contractor.

Was suppose to arrive at my house to do 4-5 days worth of work (all inside) and be finished by the end of September. He is supposed to come this week to Finish the last 3 items.

Finally we have some progress!!! The insulation has been sitting there for a week and a half after we waited for it for a couple of weeks... Last week they came on Thursday and Friday but the wind was blowing too hard and they couldn't do anything on the roof. They did work on the dutch doors though a little last week. Today was partly cloudly and no wind so they worked on the roof..

They ended up getting the liner and insulation done for the whole roof and the steel on one side. Hopefully tomorrow they'll finish the roof and a good portion of the sides... If all goes well, they'll be finished by the end of the week!!! I hope I didn't just jinx myself...
