We're Getting a Nigerian Dwarf Goat! *UPDATE: Got Her!*

We got her! Picked her up on Saturday and kept her in a temporary pen overnight. Then put together a larger kennel on Sunday. Here she is:

My husband spent most of Saturday night in the pen with her, as she was pretty upset. It is very clear she needs a buddy, so i'm combing craigslist and doing searches on google to find local breeders. The owner said she's never been vaccinated or wormed, wanted to do everything the natural way. But i think i do need to get her into my vet this week for a check-up and get all that taken care of.

i can tell she is going to be a joy. She is so sweet and very curious! i will post pics of her new pen today, and maybe get some pointers from you experienced goat keepers.

i'm very happy.

Congrats! My friends in Newcastle breed goats... I forget what kind. I can ask if they have any available right now if you want? Let me know.

I had two nigerian's a few years ago... ... I lost one to a coyote

so I gave the other away as I didnt think I could keep them safe where I lived. They are sweet though....I'll get some again someday!


Does she have a name yet?
