West Nile virus

Well it's that time of year again and our county just had its first reports of west Nile a wild turkey and a hawk. This is my first west Nile season with chickens

How do we protect them from the virus/mosquitoes?
What are the symptoms of it for the birds (I only found human symptoms)?
What do we do if the birds are infected??

Any other relevant info I should know??

Yes it did- thank you!!

It's interesting about the turkeys tho- that was the first positive confirmation of WNV In this county. Yet the pamphlet said they shouldn't be affected.
