Westford MA June 7 NAS tailgate poultry sale- anyone going?

Hey do you guys think i have great looking showgirl and silkie?
I'm not being conceded , really im not. i just read on my thread about whiting silkie, and someone came back telling me how to breed them, that well this is what they wrote=

you need to breed the silver gene in the strain of silkies

that said the new hatched chicks will have a grey color to the down and will molt into the whitest white chick

your strain has the yellow gene

generally there is nothing less than bleach that will get yellow out of the foot feathers

also do not feed corn to the white birds as it and milo discolor white birds

any questions email me
=

How would you take that? I feel offended. These are my babys.

I dont feed them corn, i dont even know where she got that from, i did not even metion what i feed them. lol

And the funnyier part is that i did not even post any chicks up on that thread,
well i guess i took it the wrong way. i dont know. that just hurt, some one saying something negative about my chicks when they have not even seen them. Maybe when i feel that way i wont post.

Shay I was at the show weekend before last and I saw no yellow on your chickens feet? course coming in from outside with dark galsses, nah seriously though your birds are stunning and cant take a 1st place with out being so, likely the person who is being .... well ya know, is just jelouse. when my whites get motivated in a few months I will be looking to expand the gene pool so ya better have one saved for me.

wait doesnt the grey ( chinchilla type gene ,) muddy the genes and produce a funky grey that never goes away? in rabbits you toss in chinchilla and you have messed up any pure color other than Blue eued white. which the gene actually produces the blue eyes.
