Wet and Dry Fowl Pox - Graphic Pictures of Pus and Scabs

Update on hen #1:
Almost all scabs are gone, no yellow pus/plaque, but her eye is dead, so looks like I have another one-eyed hen, lol.

Well at least she is still alive. I had 1 turkey who lost an eye.

Now that we know that 2 people have birds that have lost eyes, I wonder if we can treat the eyes when they have wet pox with something to prevent from losing the eye. Something to look into and do research.

Hen #1 updated pictures.

Up 300 grams in weight!

Bad eye

Good eye

Mouth with some plaque that wasn't as obvious while I was taking the pictures, lol.

She looks so much better. Good job!
Thanks... Unfortunately, I lost one to pox yesterday, not either hen pictured, but another that I hadn't started treatment on. My guess is that she died from dehydration/starvation due to my inattentiveness and not tubing her.

My next hen (#4) for this thread is a 8-10 year old Light Brahma with just wet pox. She's lost tons of weight and is molting. Going to dust for bugs, weigh, worm, give Baytril, remove pus/plaque and apply iodine to lesions and tube feed.
