They are beautiful... I didn't know chickens liked to be wet!! Learn something new every day...Dixie

We would have mutiny if we tried to lock them up in the rain - seriously. (I'm the wife-owner of those chickens.)

The 2 in the last 2 photos are our original chickens that we have had since Feb 24. The first time it rained, they were out playing in it. The rain yesterday and today was MUCH longer and harder than anything since then, so we weren't sure what to expect. We got our usual 3 eggs today, too, so obviously, they're happy! Of course, we need to clean the coop out tomorrow - the hay is all soggy.

I think all birds like moving water. Last year I was spraying my tomatoes with a fine mist and a male Ruby Throated Hummingbird started flying back and forth through the mist. Note to self: Keep camera on my person at ALL times!

Also birdbaths are lots more attractive to our feathered friends with a drip fountain.

Those hens look pleased as punch!

I would guess they like the moving water as it's usually fresher water?
Love the last photo with the blurry head! Ours usually get a little damp and run for cover, LOL (except the ducks of course)

Hmm that would be cool to buy one of those little misters and put it up on top on the run for hot summers for them just turn on at the hottest points in the day, wonder how much they would cost?
