One of my girls is behaving strangely. It's been really wet here in England and I'm worried she might have wet feather. She was excessively preening when I got home from work, so I brought her in and she was soaked. I've given her a warm bath and she's in my bathroom keeping warm for the night. I checked her oil glad and it seems to be producing oil and doesn't look red, so why wouldn't she want to spread it over her feathers?

Update: possible false alarm, she is currently preening herself from her gland with her sisters this morning after spending a toasty night in the bathroom!

Good deal i had a big ol comment based from my duck book yesterday and then a client showed up and i forgot all about it when i was off work.
There is a really good article in the book- duck eggs daily- about reasons for this and what to do.
If you have any more troubles i would look it up.
