Wet food on the ground

Well there was no rain in the forecast...so I threw a bunch of feed on the ground so they could scratch and eat...then came the South Carolina downpour. So now I have at least 2 pounds of scattered feed on the ground mixed into the dirt! I have read about Mouldy food and now I’m panicking thinking how am I going to get this up?! Please help! Looking for ideas and reassurance!

This is the feed that is made up of seeds btw not corn ..also contains fly larva.

Isn’t it the corn and fish meal that mold? I wouldn’t think a seed would?

It should be fine. Keep an eye on the area and if you notice mold, put on a mask and rake it out. They’ll be ok.

Thank you. I work so hard to keep them safe and healthy. They are so vulnerable.

x2. They'll likely eat most of it before it goes bad, but if you find moldy patches you can scrape them up and toss them.
