WET Mature hens doing the strut :)

Got a pic of two of are WET hens doing the strut and wanted to share it with all...this went on for about an hour this morning..the two hens danced around each other the whole time doing this..Pretty neat to have been able to watch this..
the Pa Eastern hen(light copper tail tips) is 4 years old and the Montana Eastern hen(light colored cream tail tips) is about 2 years old..

Awww they're gorgeous! I love the strut in boys or girls, can't wait for the babies to grow up!

Thanks all, many seem to believe hens don't strut, they do and can at anytime from my findings in the past 5 years with them, doesn't matter what age.. they don't seem to do it often and normally Ive seen them do it but for a short amount of time never this long before that i seen..

the two hens did this for about an hour, when i first got up to the flight pens the 1 male was strutting with them, but till i got back up with the camera he went over to the other girls in a different part of the flight pens and did not come back over to them... the other hens stayed away and didn't seem like they wanted anything to do with the strutting girls..LOL

Thanks for sharing the pictures, I had heard hens strutt but have never been whitness to it before now, thats is an awesome picture.

Our wild eastern hen does the same thing, but to our male roosters.

She then proceeds to chase them around the yard. Go figure.

Our two bronze hens do this to my welsummer rooster. They don't do it to anyone else. We didn't know they did this and it took us by surprise the other day.

I had a baby WET hatch this morning Charlie.

We took some of our hens eggs and put them in the bator.
Her nest got robbed the next day after, so I'm glad we have a poult this year so far.
I should take some pictures and post them.
