I am constantly finding one nesting box wet not soaked but definitely damp. It’s not a nesting box that is used quite often but one or two of them use it to lay in. It’s not exposed to any elements the one right next to it gets used a lot and it’s never wet. Any thoughts?

No other animals have access to the boxes. I haven’t seen anything yolk shells etc. If one of them were eating eggs I would think they would eat more then one right ?

I’ve noticed one hens stool being a little loose. But other wise she’s in good health from the looks of her

Sometimes egg eaters eat the whole shell and may not necessarily eat multiple eggs at a time. Ive found an eaten egg with just moisture before

I appreciate the responses, good thing I got some time on my hands coming up looks like I’ll need to be on the look out for an egg eater. Makes sense though as I’ve suspected that only one of my WL wasn’t laying. Could it be possible she is and is eating her own eggs?

The nesting box that is usually wet isn’t even noticeable wet when I collect the eggs (usually after work towards the end of the day) but if I move around the bedding that’s when I notice that it’s damp.
