My chicken Berry- along with the whole flock has dry pox. I've been putting antibiotic ointment on them for about a week. The scabs are looking better. However Berry has developed a sneeze and it sounds like a gurgling sore throat and she breathes through her mouth and I can see her throat rapidly moving in and out. I don't see yellow lesions in her mouth- boy is is hard to get a chicken to open their mouth. Please advise. I've filled out this form:

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Rhode Island Red, 5 months, normal weight
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Gurgling or purring, sounds like congestion, breathing through mouth, rapid throat movement in and out
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
a few days but now it is worse
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
other birds have dry pox
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
no
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
probably got bitten by mosquitos.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
She is eating and drinking and acting normal.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
poop looks normal
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Nutri-drench, electrolytes in water and today added Grapefruit Seed Extract to their water
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
I can do both
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
We live in Los Angeles. 5 birds live in 60sqft run with a dirt floor. Above that is a henhouse with pine shavings and sand in their litter box.
