I couldn't get my 8-9 week old New Hampshire pullets and black australorp pullet & roos into the coopy before it started pouring. They don't seem to mind, and won't go inside. Is this a problem? I thought I read somehwere Balck Autralorps feathers wouldn't repel the rain that well. Thoughts?

Your flock should be fine, Where I live we have liquid sunshine ! My flock will stay out and enjoy the rain even in the winter. My flock is very clean and will dry out fine. I f they are really sick I would give them a heat lamp and warm them up with warm water. My yard will get a little soupy from time to time if I do not check the drain area. There feet do get wet and they don't lay as well as they should for a while. I hope you will get a few more ideas on what to do. For me this is a unavoidable occurrence and my flock produces well.
