It's always hard when you can't tell. There was this series I read once that was just so confusing, it had some time travel in it so that was kind of expected but it was more confusing than it needed to be. It also had some memory loss and multiple dimensions and also evil alternate selves and one of the books was a choose your own path that never ended.

I don’t know if I could handle those. I like books with a really good plot.

Me too. I love Sherlock Holmes, so I was really happy to find House of Silk, as far as I can tell the only authorized Sherlock story not written by Conan Doyle. Kidnapping, murder, Irish lady gangsters, this book has it all.
