Blandings Castle is the better of the two, written better, just everything, but I like ASOUE because I've read them and re read them and they were the first series I actually got into.
Blandings castle is very English, and either you get it or you don't.
So many people that I've lent my books to don't appreciate Blandings castle. That's just because they aren't special enough

I was never into murder mysteries much. But I read And Then There Were None, and after that there was no stopping me.
I then got into some Sherlock Holmes.
My favourite book series are still A Series Of Unfortunate Events and PG. Wodehouse's Blandings Castle. Wodehouse is pure gold.

Wodehouse wrote some really good Sherlock Holmes stories. Try The Big Book of Sherlock Holmes Stories, compiled by Otto Penzler. Most of them are great, but a few are incomprehensible and a couple are inappropriate.

Hey all. I am new to posting but chickens and reading are two of my favorite things so I am chiming in finally.

I am currently reading and loving And The Mountains Echoed by Khalid Hosseini. He is the author of The Kite Runner which was also really good.

Before that I read Where the Crawdads Sing which was just ok for me. It was good enough to keep me reading but not a favorite of mine.

I read so much that I tend to download at lot of free books. Most are ok to keep me reading but I am not sure there are many I would recommend.

What type of reader do you have? A kindle?

I’ve never used the nook app. I’m looking to get another kindle I think. So one will have certain books and the other will have different books.

I love the app. It reads like a book. Also when I had a devoted reader that is all I could do with it.
