A sociolinguistics textbook (again,) a book on quarks, and "Walking", by Thoreau (also again.) I'm in between library runs at the moment so I don't have many books in my currently-reading stack.

Love it! Read the author’s other series, Menagerie. The second book has an awesome were-chicken!Y’all should read the Wings of Fire series. It’s my favorite series, hands down.
Mine either. Thank God for Kindles, right? No check-out limit at my library! I went yesterday, for the first time in more than a month... came out with a twenty-pound backpack. I could barely fit all the books in! A couple magazines... some cookbooks... the Serafina trilogy... and a book about pellagra! Nasty disease, that is. I have yet to read that one, but maybe during the week....
I have a few books that I was working on, but I haven't looked at them in months. I still need to have those files moved to my computer -- thankfully, I still have most of the storylines in my head. My problem is that I tend to start writing something, go like crazy for a few weeks, and then get distracted doing something else... weeks pass, and while I still remember what I was writing, I usually find it hard to get back into the story....
Farthest I've ever gotten writing something is around 20,000 words, and that story hasn't gotten really going quite yet. Now that I've remembered it, I want to get back to it....
Anyway, I digress. A book that I really liked was Jaleigh Johnson's Mark of the Dragonfly. Apparently, there were more books set in the same world (two more, I believe; yet another trilogy!), but I haven't read them. I really want to, though... especially if characters from the first book show up again, even if only for a little while.
Big fan of Flanagan!!! Join the Ranger’s/Brotherband wiki! Also I like Fablehaven and Wings of Fire. Don’t really like Narnia as much once I found out they all died at the endI enjoy and re-read a lot (deep breath) brother band chronicles, rangers apprentice, harry potter, Michale vey, Septimus heap, adventurers wanted, wings of fire, warriors, Redwall, pit dragon trilogy, geronimo stilton, Lockwood and Company, Atherton, Chronicles of Narnia, circle of magic, beka cooper, The Immortals, the edge chronicles, fablehaven, beyonders, 5 kingdoms, eragon plus a dozen or so other series. I have a neck problem cause I read too much.
I finished both harry potter books 5 and 6 in a 24 hour time period. annoying library only lets you check out 2 books at a time
Whoa, wait, what!? They died!? I've only read the first couple of books, so that's news to me... yikes!Big fan of Flanagan!!! Join the Ranger’s/Brotherband wiki! Also I like Fablehaven and Wings of Fire. Don’t really like Narnia as much once I found out they all died at the end![]()

Sorry! Didn’t mean to spoil it. But that’s how most allegory stories end.Whoa, wait, what!? They died!? I've only read the first couple of books, so that's news to me... yikes!
Nah, it's fine; I've pretty much forgotten most of the story, anyway. No problem.
Ever read Matilda, written by Roald Dahl?
