What’s Everyone Reading Right Now?

I actually found it more similar than I imagined.
Yeah. I think it was because William Goldman wrote the script? I can't really remember but he was definitely a big part in it and really liked it. I read this cool book called maybe, like, "As You Wish- Tales From The Making Of The Princess Bride" and it was actually a very interesting book even if you aren't a super movie geek or don't usually like nonfiction. It's by that guy who plays Westley and it's really just a really happy and joyful book about a lot of people having fun while making a movie and I'd recommend it for these times.

I loved that book! I own it. It’s my favorite non fiction book. I thought it was hilarious how they actually kept the take of him getting knocked out on camera.

Empire of the summer moon. By S C Gwynne. The story of Quanah Parker the most fierce and brutal Leader of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American history
I don’t like his writing style but the story is amazing.
I have had that one on my reading list for a while, but haven't read it yet. I got interested in the story of Quanah's captive mother, Cynthia Ann, and also Olive Oatman, a.k.a The Girl with the Blue Tattoo. Pretty amazing histories.

Follow the River is hands-down one of my favorite true-story-to-fiction books about an early pioneer women's escape from capture by Indians. She walked the Ohio river home to Virginia over the course of months at the onset of winter. Amazing read. Also enjoyed True Grit.

I’ve got the app and rewards program and I get a free book every 500 points. If anybody wants to use ThriftBooks for the first time, I’d appreciate it if they’d let me send them the invite and then I get extra points when they purchase. I also know a one time fifteen percent off coupon code.

I'm really enjoying my new annotated Sherlock Holmes, volume two. I learned in the back that there's this Muppet Show version starring Gonzo as Sherlock, Fozzie as Watson, Kermit as Lestrade, and Miss Piggy as Irene Adler. I also learned that there was once a ballet, called The Revenge of Sherlock Holmes, and it bombed, and also that the reason a couple of the stories are from Sherlock's perspective or third person rather than being narrated by Watson is because Sir Arthur Conan Doyle had made those stories into plays first and then adapted them to short story form.
