I’m on day 2 of lockdown (all eggs have pipped🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻) and I noticed something odd on one. The egg pipped on the wrong side to start off. A few hours after it pipped, is started oozing this yellowish-green liquid. Upon looking closer, there is a quarter size puddle of it in the water tray under it. I do not think the chick is still alive unfortunately, so I don’t believe there is any point in trying to assist. It was alive prior to lockdown. As with many, I candled as I put them in lockdown. What happened here!?! This was a dry hatch so I don’t believe it was due to the water not fully being absorbed. And are my other eggs okay?

Do you think it’ll be okay to do a quick wipe of the mat with a washcloth with diluted bleach?

Took egg out. Just as suspected, chick had passed I’m sure from drowning. Did and eggtopsy (was a beautiful little tuxedo😔) and looks like yolk sack possibly was ruptured? Humidity only dropped 2 degrees. Gonna wait for it to go back up to do a quick wipe with hot water to hopefully help it jump back up quicker. Thanks @RiDaGeckoGuy! Ever seen this before?
