What’s going on with my roosters skin?

Hey all, have a few roosters in a bachelor coop, and another couple in with the ladies. One in the ladies coop, and few in the bachelor coop, have this funky red skin and no feathers. One has it on both sides, another on its chest. Another on the nobby bit of tail. Worst affected one has it on legs, on shoulders and on chest. Can’t see mites but have dusted several times, and loss of feathers is strange. Not from fighting as no other injuries (usually if they have a punch on they have a few bloody scratches on their comb). Any ideas?? Other boys and hens unaffected

Not normal indeed... have you tried asking a veterinary about this... I hope it's not contagious... we don't want the others to be affected.

This rooster is in the middle of a big molt. The red skin on the the feathered leg may be from inflammation or feather picking. I would make sure they are getting a 20% protein all flock feed and some probiotics. If you have a vet, they might prescribe a steroid for the leg inflammation. I would double check skin at night when certain mites come on chickens, and then spend days in cracks and crevices of the coop.
