Nope, she barely touches the ground with it when she walks.
I had family watching them when we went to Vegas. They called in the 15th and said my henCashew wasn't walking. I got home on the 17th and immediately pulled her inside and isolated her in my bathroom (tub to be exact). I have soaked her feet in warm Epsom salt, gave her a full bath and cleaned her vent and started feeding her cherries, blueberries, mash and scratch in the bathroom. I took her to the vet 8 days ago and the vet gave her anti-inflammatories and said she looks like she’s doing all the natural chicken things… anti-inflammatories and said she looks like she’s doing all the natural chicken things, grooming, eating pooping wasn't sensitive when he pressed all over her feet and leg. He thinks it may be arthritis as she is 5yrs or possible a break. Since she’s not getting better or worse I booked her an X-ray on Monday. My husband obviously doesn’t think it’s worth the money but I don’t want her to suffer if we can fix it.
I did pull a black scab off her opposite foot after an Epson salt bath, didn’t seem to bother her at all.
She looks healthy but I think she’s loosing weight. She was 5lbs at the vet a week ago.

She’s beautiful! Sounds like you’re doing all the right things. 5lbs is fairly normal for a chicken I’m pretty sure.

Are there many hazards in your yard? Could she have been attacked/chased by something?
