So I’ve been lambing/kidding for 13 years and I’ve not ever seen this. This little goat is due to kid for her first time in the next 2-7 days (her actual due date is Jan 19th). When she stands up on a block to eat this comes out. When she stands normal she’s fine. Kids/kid are still moving about inside, I felt them today. Anyone had this before? Seems like she’s just bulging a bit from the kids, but it’s concerning.

I don’t know if you guys would know or not but figured you may or at least might know of some more goat people to tag ?? I know there are more but I am seriously blanking on names. 😭

It looks like part of something is now prolapsed. Can goats prolapse like cows?
I've read that sometimes on cows, the womb can actually twist and block the birth canal, I don't have enough experience with goats.

I think they can ? I think most species can. I was going to say it looked like a prolapse too (I just experienced one with a quail tonight so fresh on the mind) but the fact that it sometimes goes back in and on it’s own is quite odd, no?
