This might be posted elsewhere, so I apologize if I’m repeating…

What’s the name of your coop?

Ours is Pollaio—Italian for “chicken house.” We both have Italian in our families, and my husband has been teaching himself Italian for several years.

My hubby named our coop

Cool! If it were royal palms I'd have said Palm Springs

Royal palms! I wish, blue palms would be gorgeous to own as well, but my family has completely sworn off royal palms, due to aggression to other birds, so they’re a no to owning.

Now that I think, the name *may* have been holland hills.

Hahaha! That is perfect! We had one of those and then I changed some things up in my setup, and the chickens changes their preferences. So now I'm conducting a study...

My nesting boxes are 5 gallon buckets that sit on the floor of the coop and are named by color - "The Blue One", "The Red One" and "The White One". I thought we might see if the hens preferred one color over another - so far the Red One is darkest and seems to be the favorite, but different sized paving stones at the entrance of each box ( weights to keep the buckets in place and the shavings inside) are complicating the study, as the hens seem to have some opinions on the size of the paving stones. Also, they like some of the fake eggs and don't like others, so that's another variable...

I want to name my coop The (Veloci) Raptor Roost, but it's still under negotiation.

I’m naming my coop “ ChickChalet” lol

I haven't named mine...but I might just have to.
I think my oldest coop should be named *No...because it's old and I should say goodbye to the poor thing.

I think the dwarf coop should be named *Obsessive because they're my newest one.

The yokos coop should be called *Chicken because they're such peaceful birds.

And the ducks house should be *Disorder because, well they're messy ducks!

And my newest coop should be name *Here...because it's probably the one they'd all like to live in.

Thanks! That's Peggy and she's the flock's enforcer. She's so fierce I sometimes call her The Pegasaurus

I was originally gonna name it Fort Clux because of alllll the protective measures I took (way too many really, we don't even have that many predators here, but I sleep better this way), but I decided to name it after the coop itself. I made the whole thing myself and while I'm very proud of it, it does it's job and it's sturdy as ****, it's got some uhm... interesting angles shall we say

So I named it The Curvy Coop

I've liked a LOT of the other names too but this one resonates enough that I think I will make a sign and make it official. If you don't mind me co opting your creativity.
