Hahaha! That is perfect! We had one of those and then I changed some things up in my setup, and the chickens changes their preferences. So now I'm conducting a study...

My nesting boxes are 5 gallon buckets that sit on the floor of the coop and are named by color - "The Blue One", "The Red One" and "The White One". I thought we might see if the hens preferred one color over another - so far the Red One is darkest and seems to be the favorite, but different sized paving stones at the entrance of each box ( weights to keep the buckets in place and the shavings inside) are complicating the study, as the hens seem to have some opinions on the size of the paving stones. Also, they like some of the fake eggs and don't like others, so that's another variable...

I want to name my coop The (Veloci) Raptor Roost, but it's still under negotiation.

Here’s the name of our coop. It’s the name of the road we live on and I thought it sounded cute!

(lol, some of the dumber hens like to sleep on the door of the coop, scince we don't close it up at night!)

The first one has a descriptive name, The Little Monitor Coop.

The big one is Neuchickenstein -- the very expensive palace (built during the worst of the Covid lumber shortages).

The outdoor brooder is just the outdoor brooder.

And then there's Camp Cockerel, the holding facility for cull birds.

3KB, i too built my coop during the 'covid lumber shortage. I took all that 'stimulus' $ and viola!

Ours is the Chic Chalet.. normally with 2-3 ft of snow
