What’s up with the pecking?!?

Lol nail polish, the holes in crocks, shoe lace ends, buttons, snaps, tiny holes in jeans, frayed threads on anything, earrings, necklaces, strands of hair......all totally normal in fascinating chickens.

Do be careful about your eyes though. They like shiny things and eyes are shiny.

I need to add one more warning, chickens like to peck at braces. If I smile or talk to them they stare at my mouth and try to peck them.

our chickens peck the snow or anything else off our boots a lot, also zippers, freckles, shoelaces, and buttons. The ducks will go for the jewelry though lol.

My girls gentle peck for attention, then hop onto my lap and chirp away at me (looking me right in the eye). Sometimes figure it out and open the door to the extension run for them, or uncross my legs so they can really snuggle down on my lap... other times I can only assume they are catching me up on what I missed while I was gone
I swear they think I can understand them

Yup, ours peck at freckles as well. It's really annoying...
