Thanks. I was getting worriedLook up fowl pox
Spread by mosquitoes
Has to run it's course
It is contagious. It will work it's way through whole flock and they will not get it again. My other one started pox welts on both of her eyelids this morning. I had no idea this was a thing. I’m reading up vaccinations for my other birds.
two chicks are separated from the adults. My naked neck is the only other chick exposed and he doesn’t isn’t showing symptoms yetIt is contagious. It will work its way through whole flock and they will not get it again.
They can die from secondary infections which is why some people give antibiotics. The antibiotics do not affect the pox but will work on the secondary infections. My birds are a couple months old they all have it. They’re doing fine with it. I think there’s a wet and dry version. Wet version I read is fatal. The first one of mine that showed signs died all the rest seem to be doing ok for now.
