Not many songs have made cry. usually if they do, its because theres like a story or something connected to it.
The songs that ACTUALLY "work" are. Saved My Life by Andy Grammer because it kind of ties into a story I once wrote that was pretty sad. Heaven Knows by Five for Fighting. Chasing Butterflies by Frankly Speaking because our dog was dying at the time (He's fine now).


Honorable Mentions:

Never Forget from Halo 3.
Married Life from the movie Up.
Stuff by Jurrivh (piano). I listen to that when i'm writing something sad and it usually helps me stick to being sad.

This one does have a lot of sadness.

Saddest album EVER, I think, is "In the Wee Small Hours" by Frank Sinatra.

This one needs some explaining, because it's very much out there.
A Threnody is a dirge, a lament, a song of mourning. This one was written about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. If you listen and imagine what that must have been like, the piece makes complete sense, and it can bring you to tears.

This is a great movie and I absolutely HATE the first 5 minutes. I cannot watch it without welling up.

This one's happy tears. It was the song that came on the radio immediately after I found out my wife was pregnant with our first child. This is his song.

Mine, too. I saw the Prague Symphony perform it, and I bawled like a baby. This and Beethoven's 7th.

When that was premiered, the audience demanded an encore of the second movement. The first time I heard the Scherzo (3rd mvt), I laughed at the closing bars. "Scherzo" means joke, or jest.
