Well, once I heard a bunch of boys sing "Danny Boy" And then they sang "Tell my father" Right after that! How could they?!
(Danny Boy is a song in the POV of someone who loves a soldier but has to let them go to war and Tell My Father is a song in the POV of a son who DIES in the war and singing his last dying wish!! AhhH!)

Also- Happy Place by SAINT PHINX caught me off guard and made me almost cry, especially with the music video. The song was written by two sons who saw their father happy before he died which is like- ahhh!

This one needs some explaining, because it's very much out there.
A Threnody is a dirge, a lament, a song of mourning. This one was written about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. If you listen and imagine what that must have been like, the piece makes complete sense, and it can bring you to tears.

This is a great movie and I absolutely HATE the first 5 minutes. I cannot watch it without welling up.

This one's happy tears. It was the song that came on the radio immediately after I found out my wife was pregnant with our first child. This is his song.

I love John Denver's music. From his autobiography and other things that I've read and heard about him, I don't think I would have liked him as a person. I did cry when his plane crashed, though.
