I got my 4 chicks yesterday. When I woke up this morning to check on them, this is what their home looked like. Any ideas on how to keep them from dumping out all of their feed? I put their food/water on a piece of wood to raise it, but that didn't seem to help. Any ideas?

the cleanest way to water/feed your chicks is place your feeder and waterier, each in a box separately and place them in their home. Make sure the sides are high enough to keep them from kicking food/water all around but short enough so they can jump over into the box of feed. This will prevent feed getting into the water, vice versa, plus you'll waste less feed.

edit.... if you have an Aldi's nearby, go there to find the perfect boxes. you can always cut the height down to size and get more boxes as the chickens get bigger.

I have the same feeder, and I never use the bottle for it for the same reason, like Flawedatdesign said " don't fill the feeder all the way up".

I mix water with my chicks feed, it makes a sort of mush, less mess and they LOVE it! Even my 16 week old love it!
And, they are just messy! place the feeder in a pie tin or something else that you can pick up and reuse the food....
